This was an unbelievably beautiful wedding I shot with the amazing Megan Grandi. It took place on the prettiest piece of land . . probably in the universe. I really wanted to share a handful of my favorites. What an awesome experience. I’m so happy I could be there for it. If you haven’t been to Megan’s site, click here to check her out : ) Thank you M for the opportunity.

I believe in life. I believe in its ups and downs - its triumphs and its tragedies. I believe in loving fully and unequivocally. I believe in choosing to be compassionate. I believe in laughing through the hard times. I believe in new beginnings. I believe in seeing the glass half full. I believe in forgiveness and humility. I believe in laughing too loud. I believe in getting uncomfortable to experience growth. I believe in family. I believe in crying - in public, at the movies, and on the phone with a best friend. I believe in people - that every person, in his own unique way, is a true inspiration.
Why I’m a photographer is infinitely more important than what I create as a photographer. Being a photographer is a manifestation of my beliefs. It is my creative outlet - my way of showing others just how inspiring an individual, a family, and a couple in love can be. There is an honesty in photography that I literally crave. Photography doesn’t question anyone or anything. It is entirely impartial. Images speak for themselves. In the end, I want to be remembered for me, for my WHY.
I feel blessed that photography happened to me. I say happened because bam! . . I started my own business and my life was instantaneously sweeter because of it. It isn’t always a walk in the park. It is definitely challenging at times but I wouldn’t have it any other way. My business and the people I’ve met because of it are constantly shining a light on the person I aspire to be. In truth, it often feels like the people I photograph are doing more for me than I will ever be able to do for them. . .
. . . nevertheless, I’m so thankful for everyone who supports me on my journey. Every person who comments, who follows my blog, who tells others about my photography, who smiles and laughs with me - you truly have no idea how much it means to me.

I know Rachel through Irish dancing. Some of my nearest and dearest friends are those who I danced with since I was five years old. We’d spend every wednesday together at practice and countless hours over the summer together at competitions. Some of my favorite memories are sitting around with all of the girls while we waited for results - more often than not, waiting for results was a lengthy process. I can remember so many times where we’d all get all gooftroop (real word? why yes!) and giggly because we’d get so bored while waiting for the results. We did what we needed to do to make the time pass faster.
Rachel is that girl everyone loves to be around. She brightens any circumstance. So personable and in my opinion, hilarious. I’m a better person having known her for so long.
Rachel - I’ve said it before, thank you for being a wonderful friend and for bringing so much sunshine into my life. I hope your birthday was all you could ever hope for and more! Lots of love xoxo

If you’d like to blame anyone for Rachel’s good looks, blame her Mom & Dad (whom I love!)

I can’t quite describe JUST how much I love this. . .

Rachel is blessed with fabulous eyelashes.

Nu-uh Rachel. You better stop!

Rachel’s laugh is infectious.

Have you seeeeeeen these fabulous mini birthday cakes? You can get them at Taylors Bakery : )

Here’s what I’m thinking right now . . . Kali is one of my favorite people in. the. WORLD! I’ve spent the last 10 days with her and I’m spoiled because of it. I hadn’t seen her since she up and moved to Arizona last August. That’s a long time to go without seeing a best friend. Right?! The majority of our time was spent overeating and then going to the gym because we overate in the first place. One of the best things about Kali is she is super fit and great about getting herself to the gym. She’s awesome motivation. I’ve been to the gym everyday for the last 10 days. Except New Years day. We all know that day doesn’t really count though
Anyway, I just dropped her off at the airport and I’m suuuuper bummed she’s gone
BUT, I couldn’t wait to come home and look over these few images I got of Kali in the snow before we left. It’s funny because Kali loathes (truthfully) the cold so I knew I wouldn’t have very much time before she AND my fingers would freeze. Turned out not to be a problem because I got a handful of images that make my heart smile.
I will be making a very exciting trip out to California (more on that later) in february and Kali is coming out to spend a weekend with me! Luckily, Cali is just a hop, skip and a jump away from Arizona. I couldn’t be more excited. So Kali, bye for now. But I’ll see you soon in sunny California! OOXOXO
Kali, you are beautiful.

* Read more. Growing up, my piano teacher had a sign taped to a black file cabinet next to her piano that read ‘Those who don’t read are no better off than those who can’t read’.
* Say I Love You more.
* Less time on the computer = more time for myself.
* Learn to be a morning person. If and when I get up super early, it’s always sheer misery for the first ten minutes but afterwards I love it! Early bird catches the worm. Extra bonus points for getting my workout done early in the morning too
* Live in the moment. To me, this is harder than it sounds. It’s so easy to get caught up in the past and all of our future plans. This year I want to slow down and pay more attention to the moments and how I’m really feeling inside.
BMR at their holiday show. More to come soon
