God, 24 years old. It doesn’t seem possible. It seems like just yesterday that you lay in the warmer in the delivery room just looking all around you so quiet and alert. Your Dad called Grandma & Grandpa from the delivery room to let them know that they had another granddaughter. They brought Colin, David & Beth to meet you just 40 minutes after you were born. Colin patted your head and said, ” Hi Caitlin!” and forever became your protector. David jumped up on the railing, grabbed your hand, and called you Caitlin and took you right in stride. No biggie. Your best friend, big sis Beth, climbed on the railing of the bed, gave you a kiss and then went to the chair in the corner and sat there watching everything unfold. She didn’t call you by name for 2 full days. She’d say, “Mom, where’s THE baby?” She was not convinced. My mother took you from my arms and kissed you and told you she loved you and my Dad took you and giggled in that special way he did and declared you were so soft…What an amazing adventure it has been.
I am so grateful for your wonderful sunny and loving disposition. As a baby my favorite time with you was when you first woke up from your nap and you would come to my lap all wormby-bormby and just sit quietly and peacefully while the world came into focus. It made me slow down and take a minute. Now you come and visit me and I drop everything to spend a few minutes with you. I love to go out to lunch or shopping with you and truly enjoy just talking with you.
As the youngest of 4 children I think it was not always easy to believe in yourself in the face of your brothers and sister’s accomplishments. That is why, the day you came to me and said could I go to the bank with you to open a business bank account because you were starting a photography business I was so proud of you. Look what you have accomplished in two short years. To say I am your biggest fan is an understatement because I think that not only are you a stunning photographer but you are a great person, daughter, sister, friend…
Happy 24th!
LOVES Mom xoxoxoxoxoxo

I’ve known Andrea for quite some time. I hadn’t seen her in a while but I ran into her at the Rathskellar on St. Patrick’s day. I irish danced with her for many years growing up. Ratherskellar is a big place to be on St. Patricks Day and I love to go because I always run into old dance friends who I haven’t seen in too long - like Andrea
I spotted Andrea and we talked for a while. She told me about her son Matthew and ever since I’ve been so excited to photograph him. He is way, way cute …
Andrea, Greg & Matthew - Thank you for spending the evening with me and being adventurous and up for anything. If I could bottle up your cuteness and sell it, I’d be rich for real. Matthew, could you teach me muscle man face sometime? Would love to hear back from you!
xo Caitlin

Danielle - I had a lot of fun spending the evening with you and your sweet parents. Thank you for bringing yummy light with you :) I loved meeting your dog Romeo and getting a chance to see your room. Could you maybe give me some decorating tips soon? Maybe some hairstyling tips too? Your new buddy,
xo Caitlin
Sweet family! John and Amy adore Danielle
There’s actually one person missing from this pic - Danielle’s big sis who is currently in Mexico. Hoping to get an updated family pic when she gets back..
I love this. So much.

The light was amazing. As was Danielle’s hair

Warm fuzzies.

Love this moment

Happy Tuesday everybody
Lucille Mae turned 5 today. Where does time go? We decided to go the the fair to help celebrate.
Luce - I held you when you were a baby and now you are half my height! I’m not really okay with that but I still love you to pieces. You and Viv are like the little sisters I never had. Just remember, I’m always here for you. Keep on marching to the beat of your own drum. That’s what we love most about you. Maybe we should give Santa a ring soon? I love that you and I are the only ones who know his number.
xo Caity
PS Don’t give it to anybody else though k?
PPS You promise?!

I Love Lucy.

Her brother Johnny (right) and sister Vivian came along too..

Vivian

My heart grins.

She totally made it

…perfect end to the night

Happy almost weekend
Thanks for stopping by.
Photographing two boys…keeps me on my toes! You never know what will come next. Tucker and Tanner - I had so much fun spending the afternoon with you! I kind of want to be bffl’s. Is that ok? Get back with me soon
xo Caitlin
So we made some cookies. Why not, right?!

Tanner was overjoyed

One second with these boys…

…and the next
Love it!

These guys are so creative and have big imaginations. We played pirates for a little while :)…

Poor Tanner had to settle with a cowboy hat. He clearly didn’t mind though

Few shots at lunch

Boys will be boys. This series slaps a stupid grin across my face
Love Tucker in the bottom right..

I’ve studied the picture on the left to learn from Tucker’s moves. He’s grooving for reeeeal

“Point to your favorite!” As a sidenote, I kind of want the shirt on right. Like, in an adult female size. No?!

After all was said and done, this happened. And then I cried. Nah not really. Came real close though

Tucker and Tanner have another little brother coming in November. How happy!?
Happy early 4th everybody!
Here’s what I’m thinking…my eyeballs have been hurting from editing this shoot. It’s not right how cute these children are…for real.
I was reeeally excited when Katie contacted me to take photos of her family. Katie is an amazing photographer herself and I *love* looking at photos she posts of her kids online. Having a super talented photographer ask me to have photos done is honestly a huge honor. Definitely put the pressure on
didn’t want to let her down. But, I’m so happy with these photos and I’ve been stuck with a stupid grin on my face for the past few hours since I sat down to prep this post.
Katie, Josh, Gavin and Nina - Helllooo beautiful family! I had been waiting until the day I could meet sweet Gavin and Nina. I’m so happy that day came
Thank you for going with the flow and laughing too much with me. You all were so much fun! I loved Nina’s single lady dance and Gavin’s seemingly endless eyelashes (for real though, how can I get some of those?!)
Lots of love,
xo ‘Miss Caitlin’

Katie knew exactly what to do to gets her kids to have some fun. She obviously is a super fun mama..

This child could not be cuter. Those hands?! No way.

Gavin was *such* a little gentleman and I couldn’t get enough..

Give me a break?! Yeah, thanks.

I think I told him to make a silly face and this is what he did

My favorite shot of the day..

This gets me..

Katie brought along some bubbles for the kids

If I could bottle this up, I’d be rich for reeeeal.

This was the last frame I shot, and I kind of think it’s perfect. Sweet Nina
How is it already June? Honestly. I miss May but I’m soooo looking forward to OBX in July with my amazing family. Hope everyone had a restful holiday weekend
There is nothing wrong with bribing children to behave during a shoot with leftover Easter candy

We decided to make some cookies because we really had no reason not to make cookies

While the cookies were in the oven we headed outside for a bit

Give me a break please!

Viv and Luce are two of the prettiest sisters around

Johnny was getting tired so we headed back to the kitchen to decorate..

Thank you to my Mama for tagging along and helping me on this shoot, and for snapping the shot on the right. Loves.

Happy Monday!
What a sweet, sweet family! I so enjoyed spending an afternoon with them. We had perfect weather. I seriously can’t believe it’s November. This weather has been insane - but I won’t complain
Enjoy!

Recognize the girl in the middle? I took Ali’s senior photos not long ago, and she is still incredibly easy to photograph.

Ali is so sweet with the boys…

One of my favorite portraits taken in a while! LOVE it. Makes me smile

So sweet, I love this one!

I feel so lucky to have photographed this family. There’s something so fun about photographing a family with one little girl and one little boy. Big bonus too when the kids are beyond adorable and totally know how to ham it up for the camera. We had so much fun goofing around during the shoot. I loooooove (note: I would add several lines of O’s if I thought it wouldn’t bore you!) when the parents really get into the shoot with their kids. It’s all about having fun right? Making memories.
Meet the sweet, sweet Duncan family.

Meet Aiden. Pretty darn cute right?

Addison blew my miiiiiind with how cute she was. Truthfully. Cuteness overload.

We ended our shoot with a trip to the Flying Cupcake

Definitely one of my FAVORITE shoots to date. To see more from this shoot, please click HERE to see a slideshow!
And, as a sidenote, is it a little sad that I actually kind of want one of the Team Edward water bottles for New Moon?
Happy Tuesday!!
Check out this family! Cuteness Overload. Consider yourself warned. Shoots never go how I envision them to in my head, but that’s what makes it so fun for me!! I LOVE to roll with the punches, go with the flow….and capture a story. It didn’t take long to see that this family has something special. Photographing two girls always reminds me of how much fun I have with my big sis.
To the Stamper family, thank you for giving me a glimpse into your family! You all were wonderful. Hayden and Morgan - I hope Halloween was all you dreamed it to be! I bet you were the prettiest Jasmine and Belle around town
Starting things off with one of my favorites…

Morgan on the left, Hayden on the right

Morgan knew how to ham it up for sure. Here she just got up and busted a move. Go ahead girl!

You can tell the girls are really close with their dad! Make sure to check out the slideshow at the end of the post

Loving this…

I love Morgan’s face here, so serious

This makes my heart do flips.

The images that really stuck out for me while editing this shoot were the moments of the girls with their dad…check out the slideshow!!!
