I’ve known Andrea for quite some time. I hadn’t seen her in a while but I ran into her at the Rathskellar on St. Patrick’s day. I irish danced with her for many years growing up. Ratherskellar is a big place to be on St. Patricks Day and I love to go because I always run into old dance friends who I haven’t seen in too long - like Andrea I spotted Andrea and we talked for a while. She told me about her son Matthew and ever since I’ve been so excited to photograph him. He is way, way cute …
Andrea, Greg & Matthew - Thank you for spending the evening with me and being adventurous and up for anything. If I could bottle up your cuteness and sell it, I’d be rich for real. Matthew, could you teach me muscle man face sometime? Would love to hear back from you!
Sometimes I forget how beautiful Indiana is until an evening like this.
Aaron & Mallory - I said to my roommate before leaving for this shoot that I had a gut feeling - that this shoot would be so fun . Despite everything coming together at the last minute (and the horrid rush hour traffic!), something was telling me that things would come together perfectly. I want you to know that I walked away from this shoot more grateful than ever to be doing what I do. You guys rocked this thing out. Good luck in NY - don’t be strangers.
I’ve known Matt and Abra for a while. They went to the same grade school as I did growing up (STA Tigers heyooo!). In fact, they were in my big sister’s class. They got to see me shine all throughout my childhood years - ratty hair and all It’s pretty wild to think all those years they went to school together and now - - they’re married.
Matt & Abra - Your wedding was so you and so perfect. Thank you for having me along. I’m blessed having had the chance to work with you and I’m looking forward to keeping in touch in the future! You guys promise?! Lots of love,
The ring bearer stole my heart a little bit. Okay, a lot a bit.
Matt and his best man/ brother Brian..
This makes me smile
Married!
New sister in law
Matt adores Abra.
I’ll end with this because it’s my favorite moment of the day - when Matt took the microphone after everyone had spoken and said, “Alright people, it’s official. We’re now married on facebook!”

Thank you so much to Micah Bell for all of your help!
Lucille Mae turned 5 today. Where does time go? We decided to go the the fair to help celebrate.
Luce - I held you when you were a baby and now you are half my height! I’m not really okay with that but I still love you to pieces. You and Viv are like the little sisters I never had. Just remember, I’m always here for you. Keep on marching to the beat of your own drum. That’s what we love most about you. Maybe we should give Santa a ring soon? I love that you and I are the only ones who know his number.
xo Caity
PS Don’t give it to anybody else though k?
PPS You promise?!
I Love Lucy.
Her brother Johnny (right) and sister Vivian came along too..
Keane - thank you for being a mover and a shaker. You made me log in extra running time just so that I could keep up with you. My waistline thanks you. Would love to set up a time to share some dance moves. Get back with me soon,
xo Caitlin
Meet Keane. He is adorable right?
Keane likes baseball so we played at a baseball field for a little while.
Yes please! I love this.
Lovelove. Looks like he is arguing over a bad call. PS Can I get one of those shirts in an adult female size too?
Honestly, that’s probably what I’d look like if I tried swinging a bat too.
It started raining so we hung out in the dugout for a while…
…and danced to MJ a bit, who Keane calls ‘Jack’. His favorite is ABC so we brought it up on my phone and all jammed out for a few.
That shot on the left is the last frame I got and I think it’s hilarious. Keane, I think you’re #1 for sure
Photographing two boys…keeps me on my toes! You never know what will come next. Tucker and Tanner - I had so much fun spending the afternoon with you! I kind of want to be bffl’s. Is that ok? Get back with me soon
xo Caitlin
So we made some cookies. Why not, right?!
Tanner was overjoyed
One second with these boys…
…and the next Love it!
These guys are so creative and have big imaginations. We played pirates for a little while :)…
Poor Tanner had to settle with a cowboy hat. He clearly didn’t mind though
Few shots at lunch
Boys will be boys. This series slaps a stupid grin across my face Love Tucker in the bottom right..
I’ve studied the picture on the left to learn from Tucker’s moves. He’s grooving for reeeeal
“Point to your favorite!” As a sidenote, I kind of want the shirt on right. Like, in an adult female size. No?!
After all was said and done, this happened. And then I cried. Nah not really. Came real close though
Tucker and Tanner have another little brother coming in November. How happy!?
I know you’ll only be gone for a few short weeks, but I’ll miss you. Have fun with your family in SC. Give those sweet dogs lots of hugs for me See ya soon.
Here’s what I’m thinking…my eyeballs have been hurting from editing this shoot. It’s not right how cute these children are…for real.
I was reeeally excited when Katie contacted me to take photos of her family. Katie is an amazing photographer herself and I *love* looking at photos she posts of her kids online. Having a super talented photographer ask me to have photos done is honestly a huge honor. Definitely put the pressure on didn’t want to let her down. But, I’m so happy with these photos and I’ve been stuck with a stupid grin on my face for the past few hours since I sat down to prep this post.
Katie, Josh, Gavin and Nina - Helllooo beautiful family! I had been waiting until the day I could meet sweet Gavin and Nina. I’m so happy that day came Thank you for going with the flow and laughing too much with me. You all were so much fun! I loved Nina’s single lady dance and Gavin’s seemingly endless eyelashes (for real though, how can I get some of those?!)
Lots of love,
xo ‘Miss Caitlin’
Katie knew exactly what to do to gets her kids to have some fun. She obviously is a super fun mama..
This child could not be cuter. Those hands?! No way.
Gavin was *such* a little gentleman and I couldn’t get enough..
Give me a break?! Yeah, thanks.
I think I told him to make a silly face and this is what he did
My favorite shot of the day..
This gets me..
Katie brought along some bubbles for the kids
If I could bottle this up, I’d be rich for reeeeal.
This was the last frame I shot, and I kind of think it’s perfect. Sweet Nina
How is it already June? Honestly. I miss May but I’m soooo looking forward to OBX in July with my amazing family. Hope everyone had a restful holiday weekend
Ella Jane. Isn’t that the sweetest name in the universe?
Ella’s sweet mom, Greta, contacted me to take photos of Ella on the day of her 1st communion. I was excited at the thought of trying something new. Although the weather was dreary at best, Ella couldn’t help but beam nonetheless.
Just Ella and I spent some time taking photos for a bit. We talked about a lot in such a short time. She told me why she was so excited for her big day.
Ella’s curls and bright blue eyes are sweet like pie
She even started telling me about their pet dog named Riggs
Ella’s sisters Talli (left) and Gabbi weren’t far. They were there for their big sis.
When I told them to get nice and close, Gabbi did this. And then I cried. Almost
Congrats Ella! I hope you had fun celebrating with your friends and family
